Beijinhos – brazilian coconut candy


Hello all! I was making today beijinhos for me and my fiance for our valentines day and i tought why not to film it and post it on my blog! But then after 3 minutes the camera said no and i couldn’t wait to charge it. So I have taken some photos and I am going to tell you what to do step by step.




– one can of condensed milk ( the best is the one that’s on my photo 😉 )
– 13 fl oz of milk
– about 3 tbs of unsalted butter
– 4 oz of coconut flakes

– non-stick pan
– wooden spoon
– mini baking cups

The first thing that you have to do is to pour condensed milk and milk to the pan and add half of the coconut flakes. Set your stove top to medium and start stiring. If you have anyone who could help you with stiring you better ask them to because it is going to be a lot of stiring.

When your beijinho will start to boil you have to add butter and continue to stir. Stir as long as it starts to look like at the video below.

If your beijinho looks the same spread it on a plate(s) and put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes. You want it nice and firm before you roll it into balls.

To make the little balls prepare your mini baking cups and some butter to spread it on your hands. By using a tea spoon scoop some beijinho , put it in your hands and roll it in to a little ball. Roll the ball on the second half of coconut flakes, make sure it is pretty much covered with it and place your beijinho in mini baking cup. Repeat as many times as you need! Enojy! Now you can taste some of Brazil. Keep it refrigerated.
